Welcome to Design Methodologies. In our first class we will start with a introduction to get to know each other and jump right in with a lecture about the industry of graphic design.
Homework:
Over the weekend I want you to use your phone to take pictures of graphic design that you encounter in your day to day life. I want you to seek out, photograph, and organize examples of design for discussion in class. Create a folder with 5 folders inside of it labeled the following:
- Historic Design
- Corporate Design
- Municipal Design
- Illegal Design
- Small Business Design
Each folder should include 5 images of design you encounter in your world and be uploaded to Canvas BEFORE class meets next week. We will be looking at these images and discussing various aspects of these designs such as why they’re effective or not, why are they appropriate or not, and what their impact is.
